It’s always refreshing when notable moments of the minimal revolution from the late '00s inspire upcoming generations. Especially if this gets articulated in the form of resourceful fusions around dub, dubtechno and Detroit techno. Both Peter Hyde's and Andrash’s mystical tone of voice summon the likes of Perlon and Logistic, which, wrapped in the uniform of Delays dub, create a strong gravitational pull for the listener. Beko’s dubby minimal banger rolls like a Tanzmann & Stefanik design with a discrete Guido Schneider tuning during the peak of the era cited above. Namia’s ride is a particularly massive example of the Motor City school from which there’s no getting out and the horizon simply blends into space. Konomo boosts the vibe further by recalling the drift of the Chilean line, which sometimes overflows into trance, delivering a cosmic conclusion to the material.
