Since his EP ‘Delays’ it was suspectible that Grema’s musical universe is rooted somewhere around Detroit and that he’s trying to connect with the city’s heritage of techno from several angles - this new 3 tracker is no exception!

The opening ‘Atmo808’ immediately shows us an unforgettable wide angle shot from outer space: a crystal sharp image of the breathing Motor City, that we can bring with us on our journey to the stars. More precisely it’s atmospheric electro and if nothing else, the robotic pounding makes it clear that very much like Punk, Detroit never dies either.

‘It Depends On You’, the second track of the EP hosts a dynamic gallop that intensifies towards insanity and then settles back again. Introducing itself as a pretty unforgiving piece, its ice cold hypnosis may leave permanent marks if placed well on the dance floor.

The closing ‘Tribz’ twinkles up to the skies again but instead of deep space, it rather observes inner depths with an all-seeing eye. It’s a fine example of Grema’s well known strengths, the perfect combination of large scale atmospheres and reliable, heavy grooves making their way from start to finish - this time at the crossroads of tripping tribal house and dub techno.
